NewSouth Bookstore

The NewSouth Bookstore actively hosts bookstore and off-site literary programs — book talks and readings — along with a variety of other programs both entertaining and educational. These include presentations by historians, readings of plays, music events, and community service programs. We enjoy such gatherings quite a lot. Our bookstore events calendar is always evolving, so please regularly check back here for updates to our calendar (and/or follow us on social media, where all such activities are also posted). We welcome your event suggestions and thank you for your support.

Tuesday, March 4 at 5:30pm at The NewSouth Bookstore: Photographers Warren Simons, E. Bruce Phillips, and Julia Washburn talk about the art of seeing

March 4 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Join us at The NewSouth Bookstore on Tuesday, March 4 at 5:30pm for what will be a fun and stimulating program about the art of seeing. Three gifted photographers — E. Bruce Phillips, Warren Simons, and Julia Washburn — offer perspective on their craft to enlighten about your own approach to viewing the world — even if it’s not through the lens of a camera. You will discover that seeing is part of the creative process for us all. Thanks to Warren Simons for coordinating the program.
