The NewSouth Bookstore actively hosts bookstore and off-site literary programs — book talks and readings — along with a variety of other programs both entertaining and educational. These include presentations by historians, readings of plays, music events, and community service programs. We enjoy such gatherings quite a lot. Our bookstore events calendar is always evolving, so please regularly check back here for updates to our calendar (and/or follow us on social media, where all such activities are also posted). We welcome your event suggestions and thank you for your support.
Ireland has given the world an amazing legacy of literature and music. From Yeats to Shaw to Joyce to Heaney to the Clancy Brothers to the Chieftains and many others. The list goes on and on. Enjoy an hour or so at The NewSouth Bookstore as we celebrate in words and music all that makes Ireland great with Greta Lambert, John McWilliams, Greg Thornton, and special guest Toni Wood. They will share stories, poetry, and melodies from the Emerald Isle in a special program conceived by Greg Thornton for St. Patrick’s Day. At The NewSouth Bookstore on Sunday, March 16, starting at 3pm. Sláinte!
