The NewSouth Bookstore actively hosts bookstore and off-site literary programs — book talks and readings — along with a variety of other programs both entertaining and educational. These include presentations by historians, readings of plays, music events, and community service programs. We enjoy such gatherings quite a lot. It’s Local Author Day at The NewSouth Bookstore on Saturday, August 17 at 2pm!

The NewSouth Bookstore is hosting a local author event — our first — on Saturday, August 17, at 2pm. We’ll welcome a dozen-plus writers from our local community with whom you’ll enjoy talking and learning about their work. The authors have published across a range of book categories, including children’s, YA, romance, faith, and more. There’ll be happy noise in our dedicated events space where these authors will be tabled: Christiann Henderson, Tim Lawrence, Michael Jones, Martin Mayer, and Monica McCollough, just to name a few. Come meet these fine writers and others on the afternoon of August 17!
