The NewSouth Bookstore actively hosts bookstore and off-site literary programs — book talks and readings — along with a variety of other programs both entertaining and educational. These include presentations by historians, readings of plays, music events, and community service programs. We enjoy such gatherings quite a lot. The NewSouth Bookstore’s first annual poetry read-aloud: Join us in honor of National Poetry Month. We’ll gather chairs in a circle and sit together to listen as friends and fans each read aloud a favorite poem or two. We expect that the experience of sharing the verse we love best will be enlightening and enjoyable. Bring a friend. Wine and other beverages served, as usual.
